Full description and what we offer
Elk - Backcountry Hunts operates in Unit 34, a region with strong mature bull populations where 350+ class elk are routinely taken. The terrain ranges from 5,000 to 9,000 feet elevation, featuring Ponderosa pine, aspens, thick timber, and open meadows.
All hunts come fully outfitted: meals, lodging in cabins within the game unit, professional guides (2 hunters per guide), and vehicle access via 4x4 trucks, ATVs, and UTVs. Much of Unit 34 was logged in the early 1900s, leaving miles of railroad beds and logging roads that provide access without excessive bushwhacking.
Expect significant walking—this is backcountry hunting, not a resort experience.
