Guardian Defense focuses on firearms education over inventory. They run three core courses: Texas License to Carry (LTC), NRA Basic Pistol, and NRA Basic Rifle. Each class is roughly 8 hours and covers the fundamentals—handling, maintenance, storage, and shooting accuracy.
The License to Carry course is Texas DPS-approved and approximately 6 hours. Beyond basic handgun safety, they teach the legal landscape around carrying a concealed handgun in Texas, self-defense decision-making, situational awareness, and conflict avoidance. Check-in is 8:45 AM, checkout 4:00 PM. Cost is $50.

You need a state-issued ID/DL, a pistol, 50 rounds of practice ammo, and eye and ear protection. If you don't have a gun or ammo, Guardian Defense can help. They provide loaner pistols upon request and sell ammunition on-site. Protective gear is also available if needed.
NRA Basic Pistol covers appropriate handling, maintenance, secure storage, and accurate shooting over 8 hours.
NRA Basic Rifle does the same for rifle operation and safety.
Both run 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM and welcome all skill levels.

The shooting area is outdoors with a sheltered concrete platform. Targets are positioned up to 25 yards away. Steel targets are provided specifically for handgun training. The outdoor design with covered stations means you can shoot in all weather conditions.
Range qualification for the LTC course is completed on-site—no need to go elsewhere.
Bring your own gun? Let them know a few days before your class to confirm loaner availability. They keep a limited number of pistols for students who need them.
