In Focus Training handles the permit side of carrying in Texas and beyond. They've built their operation around making LTC courses accessible—online, in-person, fast, and straightforward. Located in Pearland, they serve Houston-area shooters and remote students across the country.

Four-hour self-paced course approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Take it on your phone, tablet, or desktop. You get your LTC-104 form to take to any DPS-approved instructor for range qualification. The course covers:

One-day course (6 hours classroom + range). Max 12 students so instructors give personal feedback on grip, stance, and sight alignment. You walk out with a signed LTC-104 and know what to do next at DPS.

• •What to bring: Handgun (.22 or larger), 50 factory rounds, eye and ear protection, closed-toe shoes, photo ID. Rental pistols available for $15.

Already took the 4-hour classroom portion? Book just the range qualification. 50-round course of fire on a B-27 silhouette (70% minimum to pass). You get coaching before shooting, two reshoot attempts if needed, and your certificate same day.

Course of fire: - 20 rounds at 3 yards - 20 rounds at 7 yards - 10 rounds at 15 yards

In Focus Training offers approved online courses for carry permits in 10+ states—$65 per state, self-paced, instant certificate download. States covered:

30-minute video course (no shooting, no exam). Covers who qualifies for permitless carry, prohibited places, 30.05/30.06/30.07 signage rules, and use-of-force laws. Good for understanding Texas permitless carry without going for a full LTC. Download your certificate instantly.

Not mandatory by law, but explains the rules clearly so you don't accidentally break them.

28-hour DPS-certified program for EMS, firefighters, volunteer first responders, and licensed peace officers in non-law-enforcement roles. Covers tactical training (reactive shooting, movement, low-light, cover), secure carry techniques, de-escalation, and use-of-force law per Texas Government Code §411.184. Requires valid Texas LTC to enroll. Available as on-site group classes for departments.

Basic Pistol, Personal Protection, RSO (Range Safety Officer), and Refuse To Be A Victim—all NRA-certified and taught by in-house instructors.
