Merrington's Gunsmithing

Kirk Merrington started his career as a barrel filer at Churchill Ltd. in Birmingham, UK, then immigrated to the United States where he worked at Buckhorn in Dallas and became a renowned barrelmaker at Briley Manufacturing in Houston. In 1992, he established his own shop in Kerrville in the Texas hill country.

Kirk maintains a network of master craftsmen—many English trained—to handle engraving, stock work, and specialized bench jobs. This division of labor follows the tradition of fine gunmaking, delivering incomparable work in reasonable timeframes.
