Full description and what we offer
Panola County Gun Club is a premier competitive shooting facility located in Carthage, Texas, dedicated to highpower rifle competition, smallbore rifle, and pistol marksmanship. Established in 1987 by Ben Sepaugh and Wilburn Spiller, the club has evolved into a respected member-owned and operated range that serves as the home range for the Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA) Service Rifle Team and has hosted members of the U.S. National Rifle Team.
Panola County Gun Club specializes in organized competitive shooting events held throughout the year:
The range features multiple firing lines with distances supporting 25-yard pistol events and 300-600 yard rifle competitions. The facility includes a 600-yard range with dedicated pits for target operations. Panola County Gun Club is a members-only facility and a tax-exempt 501(c)(7) recreational organization.
The club maintains official affiliations with the National Rifle Association (NRA), Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), and Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA). These partnerships provide members with access to additional programs, discounts, and support for preserving constitutional rights and competitive shooting interests.
Whether you're a seasoned competitor or interested in learning competitive marksmanship, Panola County Gun Club offers a well-established platform for rifle and pistol excellence in East Texas.
