Texas Concealed Handgun Academy is the official provider for Texas DPS-approved License to Carry (LTC) online courses. The path to your concealed carry permit breaks down into three straightforward steps:
1. Online LTC Class — 4 hours of instruction, self-paced. Complete it whenever works for your schedule. You get an LTC-104 certificate immediately upon finishing.
2. Proficiency Demonstration — Required by Texas DPS. This is the shooting qualification and range instruction with an LTC instructor in person.
3. Submit Application — Once training is complete, you handle the online application and fingerprinting through DPS. They mail your license when approved.
