Full description and what we offer
Walt Stokes is a DPS-certified License to Carry instructor and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer running Texas Everyday Carry. He holds certifications across multiple disciplines and teaches the courses that matter to Texas shooters.
Stokes' credentials speak: Rangemaster Instructor graduate, Combat Focus Shooting (pistol and carbine), Front Sight Firearms Training Academy graduate, NRA-certified pistol and personal protection instructor, and lifetime NRA member. He also holds Texas School Safety Instructor certification.
The 4-6 hour classroom course covers everything Texas DPS requires: weapons laws, deadly force regulations, handgun safety and restraint holsters, non-violent dispute resolution, and secure storage. You'll take the DPS written exam and complete the range qualification—50 rounds on a B-27 target at 3, 7, and 15 yards. Need 70% to pass both written and live fire.
