Own TX Elite Firearms Training?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
TX Elite Firearms Training (EFT) doesn't treat firearms instruction as a checkbox. They see it as a continuous process—whether you just bought your first pistol or you're a security professional sharpening your edge.
If you're new to firearms and need your Texas License to Carry, they handle the full course: 4-6 hours of classroom instruction plus 1-2 hours of range time. You'll shoot 20 rounds at 3 yards, 20 at 7 yards, and 10 at 15 yards on a B-27 target, aiming for the 70% minimum (175/250 rounds). As of 2024, Texas now allows LTC training starting at age 18.
Firearms 101 is their intro course—1-3 hours covering safe handling, pistol mechanics, ammunition, fundamentals, cleaning, and continued skill development.
Level 3 Security Officers use EFT to complete their Firearms Proficiency Test with the same course-of-fire standards used for LTC training. The real value is what comes after: continuing education in Defensive Tactics and Scenario-Based Training that actually moves officers up the skill ladder.
This is where EFT separates itself. Scenario training uses realistic situations to break bad habits—tunnel vision, freeze responses, poor decision-making under adrenaline. Students practice multiple responses, analyze outcomes, and learn in a safe environment before any real consequences.
They're now offering SIMUNITION training (force-on-force), where water-soluble paint rounds mimic real ammunition trajectory in your actual weapon. You see exactly where your shots land and how you respond—no live rounds, real feedback.
