Tyler Guns and More

Tyler Guns and More operates a full-service gun store in Plainview with an outdoor pistol range open to the public. Located at 102 IH 27, the store stocks handguns, rifles, and shotguns. They can special order firearms and ammunition if you don't find what you need in stock.

The pistol range is open 9AM-6PM Monday-Thursday, or you can make an appointment and use the honor system drop box. Range fee is $10 per person per day.

Brenda Tyler runs regular LTC classes on the grounds. Classes run 8AM-12PM with range time after, typically wrapping up by 1:30-2:00 PM depending on class size. Cost is $100 per person (payment required in advance by phone or mail).

Class requirements: - You must already know how to safely operate a handgun - Bring your own handgun (.22 minimum) with 50 rounds - Eye and ear protection provided - Outdoor-appropriate clothing, hat with brim, closed-toe shoes - State ID required - Coffee and pastries on arrival

18 and up are now accepted in LTC classes. If you need beginner safety training first, they offer separate handgun safety classes.

Upcoming 2025 class in Plainview scheduled for Saturday, June 28. Other locations include Friona, Millsap, and Quitaque (dates TBD). Rescheduling available if you can't make your assigned date.
