Gibson's Outpost & Shooting Range operates as a dedicated outdoor facility with both pistol and rifle ranges in Mesquite. What sets them apart is the on-site gunsmith service available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday by appointment.
The facility includes: - Pistol range - standing position at counter shelf - Rifle ranges - 50-yard, 100-yard, and 200-yard lines (bench shooting only) - Spotting scopes available for rent ($5) - Hearing protection rental ($4) - Sandbags provided
You must qualify at the 100-yard line before moving to 200-yard targets—need 3 shots within a 6" center circle to advance.
Available Friday through Sunday by appointment: - Gun Cleaning - Clean and lubricate your firearms - Firearm Repair - General repair work - Bore Sight Rifle - Laser bore sight to get you on paper, then fine-tune at the range - Sight In Rifle - Use your own ammunition to dial in your scope to your desired distance and point of impact

Picture ID required for membership card. Everyone on the firing line must have a membership card.
- •Ammunition: FMJ ammo approved. Tracers, incendiary rounds, and shotgun shells prohibited.
- •Firearms: AR-15, AK, and SKS rifles with 16" barrels or longer are welcome. No AR/SKS pistols, no binary triggers, no stabilizer braces. All firearms must have a sighting device (iron sights, red dot, scope, etc.).
- •Shooting: No rapid fire, double taps, or magazine dumps—minimum 2 seconds between shots. Separate ranges for pistol and rifle; no crossover.

Restrictions
- •Membership card required for all shooters
- •Valid picture ID required
- •No AR/SKS style pistols allowed
- •No binary triggers or pistol braces/stabilizers
- •No rapid fire, double taps, or magazine dumps (minimum 2 seconds between shots)
- •No tracer or incendiary ammunition
- •No shotgun or .410 shells
- •No holstered firearms or drawing from holster
- •Rifles must be shot from seated bench position only
- •200-yard range requires qualification at 100 yards
