Pecan Ridge Outdoor Center took over the old Pecan Ridge Golf Club and swapped greens and golf clubs for shooting ranges and hunting grounds. Located at 8930 FM 1390 in Scurry, Texas (Kaufman County), it's now a multi-sport facility that brings together shooters, anglers, and hunters in one place.
The facility operates dawn to dusk, 365 days per year.
- •Rifle and Pistol Ranges – dedicated facility for precision shooting
- •Skeet and Trap Ranges – clay shooting setup for shotgun sports
- •Annual Tower Shoot (February) – competition featuring Bobwhite quail, Ring Neck Pheasants, and Chukars (all pen-raised and flight-conditioned)
- •Dove Hunting – September 1 to December 31 (with mid-November to mid-December hiatus; check Texas Parks and Wildlife for exact dates)
- •Hunting Permits – available to Clay Range members; includes dawn-to-dusk hunting plus catch-and-release fishing the same day
- •Bird Dogs Welcome – hunting dog training community with dedicated membership tier
- •Three Fishing Lakes – described as "some of the best kept secret fishing lakes around"
- •Catch and Release – available same day with hunting permit

Kids 10 and under are FREE. Special liability forms required for all children.

Complete Forms – Download and fill out liability waiver and membership agreement (required for all members and guests) 3. Submit Paperwork – Email completed forms to [email protected] for signed copy 4. Hunting Permits – Only available to Clay Range members; submit separate hunting permit form
Current Note: All memberships and renewals are being aligned to a June 30 renewal cycle. New and renewed memberships will be prorated accordingly.
