Texas Star Shooting Range operates as a veteran-owned outdoor facility in Kempner that handles the full spectrum of shooting and firearms services. Most ranges stop at letting you shoot. Texas Star goes further:
- •Onsite licensed gunsmith for repairs and customization
- •NFA item storage and checkout — After your paperwork is submitted for Short Barreled Rifles (SBR), Short Barreled Shotguns (SBS), or Suppressors, you can actually sign out your item to use at the range while waiting on ATF approval
- •Gun rental program if you want to try before committing to a purchase
- •Multiple firearms sales channels through Gallery of Guns and RSR GROUP
License To Carry (LTC) certification classes run regularly throughout the year (7:30am-3:30pm), instructed by Bruce Kaase of Kaase Concealed Handgun School. Classes scheduled for June, July, August, September, and October 2025. Note: This is certification for carry eligibility, not tactical weapons training.
