Utah holds some of the best elk hunting in North America. Hunting a bugling bull in the middle of the rut is described as one of the most exhilarating experiences a hunter can have.

Elk tags in Utah require strategy. High Top Outfitters helps you navigate your options:

  • •General draw – Applications open January 27th, results mid-May. Preference points matter here.
  • •Conservation permits – Available through auctions run by Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife. 100% tax deductible, funds go directly to Utah wildlife management.
  • •Expo permits – The Western Hunting and Conservation Expo offers $5 applications with in-person validation.

They offer free hunt consultations to walk you through tag options and get you matched with the right permit.
