Lobo Firearms Training

Lobo Firearms Training teaches shooters how to protect themselves and their families safely. Founded by David Contreras, an NRA-certified instructor, Range Safety Officer, and USCCA-certified instructor, the operation combines formal certification programs with practical skill development.

• •Concealed Carry Certification – 4-hour classroom course covering concealed handgun use for self-defense. Graduates receive certificates to apply for CCW permits in Virginia and Utah.
• •Utah Carry Certification – USCCA curriculum plus Utah supplement, exceeding permit requirements
• •NRA Range Safety Officer Training – For intermediate students aiming for RSO certification. Covers range inspections, safety briefings, emergency procedures, malfunctions, and standard operating procedures.
• •Home Defense & Personal Security Classes – Practical instruction beyond permit requirements
• •Stop the Bleed® Training – Emergency medical response: direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application
• •SIRT Dry Fire Training – Using Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger training pistols for high-volume practice at home without ammunition costs or range fees

The SIRT dry fire program is notably practical: shooters can run hundreds of repetitions at home before live fire, making range time more efficient. This approach recognizes that range ammo and drive time cost money—dry fire training costs nothing after initial setup.

Women's-only concealed carry classes provide a specialized learning environment for students who prefer it.
