MNR Custom LLC builds custom rifles to exact specifications—every action, barrel, stock dimension, and detail tailored to your needs. Founded in 2012 by Matthew Roberts after formal gunsmithing training at Yavapai College, the company operates from Springfield, Vermont (1415 Little Canada Road) and has spent the last decade establishing itself as a name in premium custom rifle manufacturing.

The Hatari blends artistic elegance with flawless functionality for true dangerous game hunting. Every rifle starts with hand-polished metalwork and a custom-fitted walnut stock designed around your specifications.

Standard Features: - Action: Granite Mountain Arms, Mauser 98, or Winchester Model 70 CRF—all blueprinted for accuracy, machined and polished - Barrel: Match-grade barrel fitted to action, chambered to benchrest standards, with choice of NECG sights, custom-designed sights, or quarter/full rib configurations - Stock: Classic English-style walnut with svelte forend, elongated grip, pancake cheekpiece, hand-rubbed oil finish, wrap-around point checkering with mullered border

The McKinley delivers the same functionality as the Hatari but in an all-weather synthetic stock package—same classic lines, prepared for hunting abuse.

Matthew Roberts is a lifelong hunter with formal gunsmithing training from Yavapai College (2012). He and his wife Katie relocated to Weathersfield, Vermont to establish MNR Custom and have grown it into a respected name over ten years. Roberts is recognized as a professional stockmaker by the American Custom Gunmakers Guild, volunteers as an instructor for Vermont's youth hunter education program, and serves on the board of directors for Dallas Safari Club Northeast. His guiding principle: integrity and excellence in every build.
