Full description and what we offer
Middlesex Shooting Sports Club operates a fully supervised facility where every session has trained Range Safety Officers on duty—called Range Masters—ready to answer questions and help you shoot safely and effectively.
All Range Masters are volunteer-staffed and wear orange vests on duty. Their photos are posted on the duty board so you know who to ask for help.
The club's core objective is maintaining a perfect safety record. Range Masters help with everything from basic range procedures to advanced technique—don't hesitate to ask. You'll check in with the Range Master on arrival, and they stay accessible throughout your session.
Monthly orientation meetings introduce new members to facilities, programs, and safe range use. Contact the club to schedule a tour or ask questions.
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Thursday | Noon–8pm (closes at dark in winter, ~5pm) |
| Saturday | 9am–5pm |
| Sunday | Monthly orientation: 12:55 pm |
Address: 1860 Twiggs Ferry Road, Hartfield, VA 23071
The club reserves the right to close for severe weather—members are notified by email if this happens.
Beyond the range, the club emphasizes camaraderie among shooters and promotes NRA membership and firearm rights. Whether you're developing marksmanship skills, competing in monthly matches, or connecting with other responsible shooters, the facility is designed around supervised, educational shooting sports.
