This NRA program certifies adult volunteers to teach rifle safety and marksmanship within Boy Scouts of America units, districts, and council events.
- •NRA Basic Rifle Course covers instruction fundamentals and range safety. You'll complete classroom work, range shooting qualifications, and written exams. Prerequisite: you must already have basic rifle shooting knowledge and skills.
- •NRA Rifle Instructor Course follows immediately after. This qualifies you to train scouts and lead BSA shooting sports programs.

- •Location: Classroom at Tidewater Council Service Center (Virginia Beach); range training at Pipsico Scout Reservation (Spring Grove).
Instructor volunteers donate their time. Upon certification, you become part of the BSA Shooting Sports program and help train the next generation.
