Capital Defense Instruction LLC runs personalized shooting instruction in Northern Virginia, specializing in private lessons and certification courses for concealed carry permits across multiple states. Every shooter gets a customized training plan based on their current ability and what they want to achieve.

Book hourly sessions with certified instructors at the NRA Range in Fairfax, VA (11250 Waples Mill Road). Two instruction levels:

• •Basic Instruction — $125/hour. Foundational work for new and experienced shooters.
• •All Inclusive Instruction — $180/hour. Includes firearm selection guidance and comprehensive training.

They teach pistol, revolver, rifle, and shotgun. Lessons are scheduled online and tailored to your needs. Multi-hour packages save money:

• •Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit & Utah Concealed Firearm Permit — $149 per person
• •4-hour classroom course (no firearm or range time required)
• •Meets requirements for both Virginia CHP and Utah CFP (valid in 30+ states)
• •Covers handgun safety, firearm operations, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, concealed carry options, firearms selection, federal regulations, and legal considerations
• •Complimentary fingerprinting and passport photo processing for Utah CFP application
• •Pre-registration and pre-payment required; no walk-ins

• •District of Columbia Concealed Pistol License — $375 initial | $175 renewal
• •16 hours classroom (initial) or 4 hours (renewal)
• •2 hours range training with 50-shot qualification
• •DC-specific self-defense law and firearm registration
• •Instructors certified by DC Metropolitan Police Department
• •Range instruction at NRA Range, Fairfax, with scheduling between 12pm–6pm Wed–Fri
• •70% minimum score required on qualification

• •Maryland Wear and Carry Permit — $375 initial | $250 renewal
• •16 hours classroom (initial) or 8 hours (renewal)
• •Range training with 25-shot qualification

• •Combined DC & MD Training — $449 initial | $250 renewal

Handgun safety rules, mechanisms and operations, home firearm safety, marksmanship fundamentals, situational awareness and de-escalation, managing unknown contacts, defensive shooting skills, malfunction clearances, tactical movement, draw from holster, firearm and equipment selection, firearm maintenance, federal and state firearms law, law of self-defense and post-encounter considerations, firearm storage and safes, live-fire qualification.

Important Policies - Pre-registration and pre-payment required for all courses - No refunds unless Capital Defense Instruction LLC cancels the course - No walk-ins; all enrollment closes at scheduled time - Arrive 15 minutes early (Northern Virginia traffic) - Students arriving late will not be admitted - Failure to attend forfeits payment - For range courses, you must bring: carry gun, two magazines, eye protection, ear protection, ~150 rounds of ammunition - Range fees are your responsibility
