Full description and what we offer
Whitetail Action Outfitters LLC operates one of central Illinois's most productive deer hunting properties. Founded in 2014 by Wayne and Melissa Fauver—a family that owns Frederick County Customs Powder Coating in Virginia—the operation brings serious land management and hunter experience to every hunt.
The property spans Knox, Warren, Fulton, and McDonough counties, some of the best Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young production areas in Illinois. That's not marketing speak—it's documented by harvested buck photos and trail camera imagery throughout the season.
Land management drives everything here. The 8,000+ acres include:
Tree stand safety is mandatory—you bring your own harness and wear it the entire hunt. Guides direct you to marked stands; you don't walk freely around the farms.

This is a family operation with real hunting experience, not just a land lease. They scout with trail cameras year-round, manage habitat like pros, and limit hunter density to keep pressure low. The 50+ year track record of Illinois deer hunting success (evident in harvested deer photos) backs up the management approach. They know the Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young standards because they enforce them—which means the bucks are scoring.
