The Alexandria Chapter of the Izaak Walton League sits on 211 acres in Stafford, VA—9 miles west of I-95 on Route 610. This isn't a commercial range; it's a membership-based conservation organization focused on hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and outdoor education.
Members have unlimited access to daylight hours shooting facilities. You can bring family members at no charge and two guests to monthly rifle/pistol shoots or up to four guests to weekly shotgun shoots (guest fees apply at shotgun range only).

Tuesday and Thursday night "Trigger Time" sessions (3-9 PM Tuesday, 3-6 PM Thursday) provide open range access for members.
This is where the chapter really stands out. They sponsor: - Scouts BSA Troop 142G (weekly meetings) - Cub Scout Pack 142 (weekly meetings) - Girl Scout Troop 44 (weekly meetings)
Youth programs include the Youth Shotgun Team and Boy/Girl Scout conservation projects on the property. Scouts work service projects here while learning outdoor skills.
The Turkey Shoot runs October through March, most Saturdays. Practice starts 7:00 PM, shooting at 7:30 PM. It's open to the public and family-friendly—a major fundraiser for the chapter.
You need sponsorship from a current member and must apply during a monthly meeting (third Sunday, 2:00 PM). New members pay initiation fees (graduated by month) and must:
