Kelly's Chelan Hardware isn't your typical modern hardware chain. Started in 1925 and family-owned through three generations, this is a genuine all-purpose hardware store that still carries a real sporting goods department—something rare these days.

Wayne Kelly took ownership in 1958 from the original founder Jim Reed, and the store has remained a community anchor in Chelan, Washington ever since. The current location at 128 East Woodin Avenue even has an interesting bit of history: the office space sits in the vault that once protected Chelan State Bank's valuables.
