Located on East Gate Road at Building 0015 on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Range 15 offers a straightforward place to practice marksmanship. No frills, no corporate BS—just berms, targets, and the ability to send rounds downrange.
Pistol Shooters: - 10-yard berms - 20-yard berms
Rifle Shooters: - Targets extending to 300 yards - Action targets available upon request (starting at 100 yards)
Action targets add variety to your training. Request them when you arrive—no need to call ahead.

Magnum rifle calibers are no longer authorized on Range 15. This restriction tightened at some point—verify what's allowed before loading up.
All privately owned weapons must be registered with DES (Directorate of Engineering and Housing Services) before bringing them onto the installation. This isn't optional. Complete registration online through the weapons registration page before your visit—don't show up without it done.
Range 15 is on Fort Lewis/Joint Base Lewis-McChord near Tacoma, Washington (98433). Base access requirements apply—bring your military ID or check current visitor procedures if you don't have one.
