Bird Zone operates as a dedicated avian taxidermy shop in Ripon, Wisconsin. Jeff Herrick started the business in early 2014 with his first specimen—an Old Squaw Hen that still displays in the showroom. The philosophy is straightforward: by doing only birds, they deliver better results through focused expertise and rigorous study of avian anatomy.
The shop accepts most bird species with heavy emphasis on: - Waterfowl (ducks, geese) - Upland game (pheasant, grouse) - Turkey (full strut mounts, bust mounts, dead mounts)
Beyond standard mounts, Bird Zone creates custom habitat displays for your home. Jeff will visit your location, consult on design, and build a display tailored to your space and collection.
Federally and state licensed to handle, store, and mount migratory birds. Fully insured and compliant with all local regulations.
Jeff and Olivia both served the Wisconsin Taxidermists Association for nearly a decade in leadership roles (Jeff as VP and President). They continue that teaching passion by offering taxidermy classes out of their Ripon location. Details available on their pricing page.
