Full description and what we offer
Dave Fredrickson Outfitting operates in Buffalo County, Wisconsin, consistently rated the #1 county in America for Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett class whitetail bucks. The Driftless area topography—with bluffs rising 500 feet above river bottoms, high ridges, and narrow valleys—creates challenging, consistent wind conditions that have made this region famous for growing monster trophy deer.
The outfitting company owns 520 acres of private hunting land and leases additional acreage. Dave and Teresa Fredrickson keep hunting pressure deliberately minimal to maximize your opportunity. They run their operation like a family farm, not a commercial mill.
On average, 1 hunter per 150 acres. Buck harvest limited to 1 buck per 200 acres in a normal year.
Wisconsin has held the #1 spot for Pope & Young entries for years and ranks #3 nationally for Boone & Crockett entries. Most of Buffalo County practices Quality Deer Management (QDM), which keeps getting better every season.
Five-day hunts with compound or traditional equipment. September through October availability.
Limited to four hunters per season. Three to four-day packages during Wisconsin's gun season.
Pursue big toms with either archery or shotgun during spring season.
