Full description and what we offer
Cross C Ranch is a family-owned and operated outfitter located 30 miles west of Wheatland, Wyoming in the Laramie Mountain Range. They manage 20,000+ acres of privately owned land—no leased properties, no public hunting. Since 1990, they've been running fully guided big game hunts and maintaining strict herd management for mature trophy animals.
The ranch is certified by the Wyoming Outfitters and Guides Association and the State of Wyoming Board of Outfitters and Professional Guides (License No. BG046).
Mule Deer Hunts Their mule deer program is considered some of the best in Wyoming. They hunt Region J (Area 64) and Region T (Area 15)—both limited quota draw areas with high draw success rates. Management hunts target mature bucks in the 155-165 range; Trophy hunts yield 170-180+ class deer (largest taken: 220+). Hunts are 5 days/6 nights, entirely fair chase and spot-and-stalk. Diverse terrain ranges from low-land river bottoms along the Bluegrass River to high-country ridges in bighorn sheep country. Expect 60-70+ pounds of boneless meat per mature buck.
Whitetail Deer Hunts A localized population thrives on alfalfa fields and lower rolling hills. Wyoming's dual-tag system lets hunters pursue either mule deer or whitetail on the same tag. Late season special whitetail permits allow rut hunting—contact for availability.
Elk Hunts They operate in Wyoming's coveted Area 7, widely known for record-setting bulls and plentiful game. Most applicants need 5+ preference points to draw. Same fully guided spot-and-stalk format, 5 days/6 nights.
Antelope Hunts Hunted out of their central hunting lodge (no motel rooms or pack tents). Includes access to stocked fishing ponds and their 1000-yard steel rifle range.
Predator Hunting Coyote trespass hunts and fully guided winter mountain lion hunts.
Prairie Dog Hunting Summer season offers extensive prairie dog populations and extended range time on their 1000+ yard steel rifle range.
All hunts include lodging at a modern, deluxe hunting lodge that sleeps 12 comfortably. Two bathrooms, fireplace, walk-in cooler, and first-class home-cooked meals provided. Non-hunting family and friends welcome for $125/day. Fishing is included with all big game hunts (stocked ponds feature rainbow and brown trout; fishing license required separately).
"No Baiting allowed in Wyoming. All of our hunting is 100% fair chase." All hunting and pursuit of game on Cross C Ranch is entirely fair chase.
