Platte River Rod & Gun Club

Platte River Rod & Gun Club is a community-focused shooting sports organization serving the Casper, Wyoming area. Located at 2925 Twelve Mile Road west of Casper, this club offers a welcoming environment for shooters of all ages and experience levels.

The club hosts a variety of competitive and recreational shooting events throughout the year, including:

• •Mid-Range Prone Tournaments - Precision rifle competitions at extended distances
• •Varmint Matches - Bench rest shooting for varmint hunters and precision shooters
• •M1 Garand Matches - Competitive events for classic rifle enthusiasts
• •Wyoming Mid-Range State Championship - Premier state-level competition
• •Kids Shoot Program - Youth shooting education for ages 8-16 with three age divisions
• •UHRC Shoots - Ultra High-Powered Rifle Club events

Established to foster community engagement around shooting sports, Platte River Rod & Gun Club welcomes new members year-round. The club holds regular business meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at Air Innovations offices in Casper.

The club provides an excellent opportunity for shooters to participate in structured competitions, improve their marksmanship skills, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. The youth Kids Shoot program is particularly notable, offering free participation, lunch, and prizes including .22 rifles for first-place winners. The club provides .22 LR rifles and safety equipment for young participants who don't have their own firearms.

New members are always welcome and encouraged to attend meetings and events. The club maintains updated rules and regulations, safety operation plans, and membership forms available for download. Participation in club events requires completion of required releases and compliance with club safety standards.
