Full description and what we offer
Surgical Precision Training is a long-range shooting school based in Mobile, Alabama, founded by Logan Copeland and staffed by veterans with decades of Special Operations, law enforcement SWAT, and competitive precision rifle backgrounds. Every instructor was hand-picked for expertise and the ability to break down complex long-range shooting concepts into learnable skills.
"We do not run a 'Feel Good' shooting school. We train hard and put in the work to make you the very best long range shooter we can possibly make you in our time together."
2-Day Introduction to Long Range Shooting ($850) A comprehensive 18-hour course split into two phases. Phase One covers internal ballistics, rifle setup, scope mounting, barrel characteristics, marksmanship fundamentals, and optics theory (FFP vs SFP, MILS vs MOA). Phase Two focuses on external ballistics, atmospheric effects, wind reading, ballistics solver truing, and live shooting to just over 1000 yards. Approximately 8 hours classroom, 10 hours on the range. 8am-5pm Day 1, 7am-6pm Day 2.
3-Day Long Range Hunting Course ($1,000) A 28.5-hour deep dive specifically for hunters. Phase One and Two mirror the intro course but add hunting-specific content: game animal anatomy and physiology, terminal ballistics, max effective point blank range, and positional shooting with hunting gear. Phase Three is a cumulative training exercise where you replicate a long-range hunting scenario in an off-site location. Bring your hunting rifle and expect long days (7am-5pm and 8am-6pm).
1-Day Custom Course ($600) For experienced shooters who need system tuning. Start with a no-wind zero, then work on specific problem areas: wind reading, reloading, gear setup, or other system issues. Requires calling ahead to discuss goals. Minimum 50 rounds of premium ammunition.
Loaner rifles available - If you don't have a suitable rifle, Surgical Precision will provide one. Your rifle must shoot 1 MOA @ 100 yards (1.047" 3-shot group).
