Screening Eagle Archery has been serving archers across Alaska since 2010. Started as a hobby that turned into community, the shop is now owned and operated by Chris and Beth Alderman, who moved to Alaska from Florida and fell in love with the Screaming Eagle community. They bought the shop in 2013 and have been growing it ever since.

Both shops offer comprehensive repair and setup work. Their technicians handle everything from basic maintenance to complete bow customization. Here's what they can do:

Only the Wasilla location has a dedicated range. Setup includes:

Fairbanks shooters can use the partnership range at Golden North Archery (634 5th Avenue, Fairbanks) which operates an outdoor summer range and indoor winter range.

• •$50.00 per person for 1-hour session
• •$35.00 for each additional person added to a session
• •Can be booked in 1-hour increments
• •Bring your own bow or use shop equipment
• •Focus on the 8 steps of shot sequence and equipment control

Comprehensive introduction to archery fundamentals: - Safety (range, bow, and arrow safety) - Proper shooting technique (form, grouping, consistency) - Equipment knowledge and maintenance - All classes taught on Genesis bows (right and left-handed available) - All equipment provided

• •Build on beginner skills
• •Learn to use advanced bow accessories
• •Preparation for competition archery and hunting
• •Open to those who completed beginner class or have prior experience
• •Equipment provided if needed

Screening Eagle offers private range use for birthday parties with full instructor supervision:

• •$275 for 10 shooters (1 hour archery + 30 minutes party room)
• •$15 per additional shooter
• •All equipment and games provided
• •Instructors handle safety, form instruction, and party management
• •You bring the cake
• •Advance booking required with deposit
