Spectre Training Systems operates on a simple philosophy: Effective. Training. Simplified. Their instructors teach everyday Alaskans to defend themselves and their families in the spaces that matter most—the driveway, the front door, the parking lot. Not war-fighting or tactical door-breaching.

Many students arrive with little to no firearms experience. The instructors capitalize on how the body and mind naturally handle defensive situations, combined with the fundamental physics of how guns work. The goal isn't to teach you to shoot like them—it's to guide you to shoot like you, but better.

Concealed Carry Certification (ACHP) Alaska is constitutional carry, but education still matters. The 12-hour state-required certification covers Alaska law, firearm safety, and self-defense tactics—especially the legal complexities around use of deadly force.

Defensive Handgun From first shot fundamentals to running multiple strings and transitioning targets. Repetitive drills build confidence and competence from A to Z.

Defensive Carbine Improve accuracy and precision with semi-auto rifles. Instructors teach fundamentals and defensive applications to build proficiency and confidence.

Ladies Only Defensive Handgun Specialized instruction for women on avoiding dangerous situations and fighting back with a handgun as a defensive tool.

Home Defense Training Real-world scenarios and drills focused on protecting your castle and loved ones. Practical exercises that actually work in your home.

Spectre recognizes that time is your limiting factor. They maximize class time and give you drills to practice at home. Mindset, dry fire work, and application drills that don't require a range are central to their training methodology—because shooting is only part of becoming safe and competent.

They offer one-on-one coaching, private group events, and firearms purchases & transfers. Transfer fee is a flat $40 for up to 3 firearms, then $15 each additional. They're authorized dealers for Aero Precision, STAG, Glock, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, and Walther.
