Alaska State Archery Association

The Alaska State Archery Association sanctions and organizes archery competitions across the state, maintaining records for archers from youth through senior divisions. They track performance in multiple disciplines—freestyle, bowhunter freestyle, and traditional—and award annual Shooter of the Year and Triple Crown honors.

ASAA regularly hosts seminars led by award-winning coaches like George Ryals IV (USA Archery 2014 Developmental Coach of the Year). These advanced clinics cover form fundamentals, shot execution, equipment tuning, mental game, and competitive strategy—the same techniques used by national champions and Vegas winners.

Previous seminar topics include form-stability relationships, release selection and construction, stabilizer setup, arrow recipe development, and mental performance techniques.

Archers compete for Shooter of the Year and Triple Crown awards. Recent Triple Crown winners include Paul Rude (SMFS), Amber Gose (AFFS), and Josh Edmonds (AMFS).
