AJI Sporting Goods has been serving the Apache Junction and Mesa area for over 25 years. Owner Jeff Serdy built the shop around a simple philosophy: create a gun store that's actually enjoyable to shop in, with experienced staff who won't push you toward any particular brand.

Located on Apache Trail between Crismon Road and Signal Butte Road (north side of the Loop 202), AJI is open: - Monday–Thursday: 9 am – 6 pm - Friday–Saturday: 9 am – 7 pm - Sunday: 9 am – 4 pm

Low-pressure sales environment. AJI's salespeople are trained to help you find what fits your needs and budget, not push inventory. Firearms are clearly labeled with color-coded tags: green for new, pink for used, and blue for consignments. Stock arrives daily, so selection rotates constantly.

UPS/FFL Transfers ($30)

AJI is a UPS Shipping Agent and licensed FFL dealer. They handle incoming and outgoing firearm transfers securely, with a signed copy of their FFL provided. At $30 per transfer, this is straightforward pricing—no hidden fees.

Scope & Accessory Mounting

Their staff can assist with selecting, mounting, and adjusting scopes and other accessories. Work is done in-house with experienced hands.

Free Firearm Evaluations

Bring in your firearms to get evaluated at no charge. Staff can assess condition, value, and collectibility.

Firearm Appraisals & Estate Buying

AJI provides written expert appraisals suitable for legal purposes (Monday–Saturday). They also buy and consign firearms. If you're dealing with a large collection or estate, call ahead—they'll come to you if the volume is overwhelming.

"We can help ease this burden. If you can bring the items to us, we can sort through them at the shop and make an offer. However, if there are just too many and you find yourself overwhelmed, give us a call and we will come to you."

Selling & Trading

Got firearms you want to move? AJI accepts consignments and buys collections outright. Consigned guns are tagged blue and displayed on the shop floor.

AJI carries all major top brands plus quality products shooters may not be as familiar with. Categories include: - Wide selection of firearms (rifles, handguns, shotguns) - Home defense, hunting, and surplus ammunition - Tactical and surplus gear - Firearms accessories

The team at AJI is described as the most experienced and knowledgeable in the Valley. They encourage walk-ins at all skill levels and genuinely enjoy talking shop, politics, and firearms. Many regulars come in just to see new inventory and connect with the community.

AJI maintains a notable military-themed mural on their west wall as part of their commitment to honoring American history. The shop also features behind-the-lot space for parking and displaying larger items. They sell AJI Sports apparel in-store and have been featured in local media.
