Full description and what we offer
CHASE'N THE KING specializes in Arizona elk hunting across the state's northern high country. The elk herd itself has a real story: 83 animals transplanted from Yellowstone in 1913 to Cabin Draw near Chevelon Canyon grew into today's world-renowned population. That heritage matters when you're hunting old-age-class bulls in landscape unlike anywhere else.
Arizona elk range from 10,000+ feet elevation down to roughly 5,000 feet, spanning the White Mountains, Mogollon Rim, Sierra Ancha Mountains, Mazatzal Mountains, Verde Rim, Anderson Mesa, and the San Francisco Volcanic Field up to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The vast majority of this habitat sits on public land—Apache-Sitgreaves, Tonto, Coconino, Prescott, and South Kaibab National Forests. Public access and the rugged terrain mean bull elk live longer and grow larger here than almost anywhere else.
