Dzuro's Guns isn't a typical firearms shop. Owner Bill Dzuro spent 20 years running a custom cabinet business before opening this operation in Ventura, then relocating to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in September 2021. That background shaped how he approaches gunsmithing: customer service first, quality always.

Custom rifle builds are the core business. Dzuro specializes in long-distance sniper rifles for competition shooting. He's designed and built rifles with range capability up to 4,000 yards and .25 MOA accuracy. Call for a consultation, and Bill will help you:

Dzuro applies Cerakote® to any firearm component—metal or plastic. Key advantages:

• •Texture control: satin/matte to semi-gloss, or high-gloss with clear coat

Cerakote is a two-part resin (paint + epoxy hardener). The hardener ratio determines finish texture. Many custom rifles shown on the website feature multi-cam Cerakote, tungsten gray, cobalt black, burnt orange, and other finishes.

"If your barrel likes a certain grain weight, we'll load it. If there's nothing out there that your rifle likes, we make it."

Dzuro learned custom loading because his own rifles wouldn't shoot factory ammo accurately. Now he does it for customers:

• •Mil Spec standards for case length, overall projectile length, etc.

A "Minute of Angle" (MOA) depends on barrel quality. If your barrel is worn, imperfect, or loose-tolerance, projectiles get torn or destabilized. Dzuro can:

• •Inspect your barrel for trueness
• •Machine it back to correct calibrations
• •Upgrade to higher-quality barrels
• •Load ammunition in different grain weights to find what YOUR barrel prefers

Rule: Clean your rifle immediately after shooting. Leaving it dirty causes corrosion that destroys chambering and rifling.

Started shooting at age 13 (police range, .22 and .357 revolver). Got his first gun—a Beretta 92 FS—at 21. Second was a Sig Sauer 229 in .40 S&W.

In his mid-twenties, custom loading became necessary because nothing on the shelf worked for his rifles. Friends eventually convinced him to turn it into a business: "I decided I wanted to start something that would allow me to give to people what other gun shops couldn't."

20 years running a custom cabinet shop taught him that "anybody can build a cabinet, but not everybody can give customer service." He brings that philosophy here.

Bill enjoys taking first-time shooters to the range—teaching correct handling, building confidence, and showing them the sport side of firearms rather than the negative associations from the news.
