Full description and what we offer
In 2000, Kurt was working as a paramedic when a work-related injury forced him into early retirement. Looking for something meaningful to do, his wife Barbara suggested he take a gunsmith course—something he'd always been interested in. That decision led him down the path to creating Maricopa Shooting Service.
After obtaining his Federal Firearms License to purchase firearm items for the gunsmith trade, Kurt discovered concealed carry training classes. He was impressed enough to pursue instructor certification. Having taught EMS skills to nurses and medical staff, he figured he could teach CCW classes too. His first class was in June 2004 with 4 people attending. Since then, he's held at least one concealed carry class per month.
