Prescott Shooting Range offers the official NRA Pistol Instructor Certification course—a rigorous 3-day program for shooters ready to teach.
If you give any firearms instruction to a group, instructor liability insurance is critical. Insurance companies require NRA certification. Teaching is rewarding, but protecting yourself legally matters more.

| Friday, May 16 | 5–9pm | Classroom + shooting qualification |
| Saturday, May 17 | 9am–6pm | Full instruction |
| Sunday, May 18 | 8am–1pm | Final session & wrap-up |
- •Cost: $300
- •Registration Deadline: April 12, 2025
- •Completed NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting within the last 2 years
- •Solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills
- •Must demonstrate proficiency across all pistol action types
- •Must pass both classroom and shooting qualification exams
