Anthony Alvarez is a fourth-generation outdoorsman with three decades of hunting knowledge across Arizona's most productive units. Raging Point Outfitters is his lifelong dream—two decades of guiding clients through the heart of Arizona's Rim Country, sitting at 7,000 feet and spanning 200 miles of premier big game and predator habitat. The operation is built on one principle: guides without ego, professional service, and connecting hunters with quality animals they won't forget.

RPO offers guided and fully outfitted hunts across multiple seasons:

• •Predator hunts: Coyote, grey fox, bobcat (day and night hunts year-round)
• •Rocky Mountain bull elk: September archery, early/late season rifle (draw tags)
• •Coues deer: Draw tags and over-the-counter hunts
• •Mule deer: Draw tags and OTC hunts
• •Antelope: Draw tags and OTC hunts
• •Javelina: OTC hunts
• •Black bear: OTC hunts
• •Mountain lion: Draw tags and OTC hunts

All hunts are fair chase on public land or private ranches—zero high-fence, zero baited hunts.

Arizona's elevation varies from 1,800 to 7,500 feet depending on location. Terrain includes aspen, ponderosa pine, pinion pine, juniper, cedar, sagebrush, and high/low desert country.

Day hunts ($475/day per hunter) run unlimited bag limit year-round on coyotes. Grey fox and bobcat are available August 1 through March 31. Night hunts for coyotes only ($675/night or $1,375 combo day/night) run December through May with 100-yard maximum rifle lights—Arizona legal only. RPO currently runs 100% harvest success with electronic callers and custom hand calls. Be ready for point-blank adrenaline when these animals come charging into the setup.

• •Early archery (September) - Peak rut conditions. Heavy-antler bulls averaging 300+ inches up to 400 inches. Guided hunts start at $4,975 for 1x1 service. Arizona draw deadline is February 3rd annually.

• •Early/Late rifle - Early season pursues post-rut bulls. Late season glassing for solitary bulls regaining mass. Same $4,975+ base rate. Expect 800-yard shots on late season. Both seasons see 100% harvest success.

• •Cow elk - Mature cows weigh 500+ pounds and are "a blast to hunt" according to RPO. OTC hunts available.

• •Outfitted hunts include:
• •Large canvas 10x14 Kodiak wall tents with carpet, heat, light, and oversized cots
• •OR 30-foot modernized camp trailers with full amenities
• •Hot shower available on tent camps
• •Host/cook providing breakfast, sack lunch, and home-cooked dinners

• •Guided hunts - Hunters arrange their own motel accommodations. RPO provides directions.

• •Tipping: Professional guides and hosts appreciate 10-15% of guide fees. Tips are earned and always appreciated.

You'll need your own firearm or bow. RPO cannot legally provide firearms, ammunition, or bows. Hunter orange is not required in Arizona. Residents purchase licenses online at azgfd.gov ($37). Non-residents pay $20/day or $160/year. Tags and permits come separately—draw tags require January applications (next deadline February 3, 2026).

Fly into Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix. Rent a vehicle and drive to Payson-area camp or motel. RPO provides directions.
