Full description and what we offer
Ridgeline Mounted Archers specializes in classical mounted archery, combining horsemanship with precision shooting. Their Eugene facility houses highly trained school horses and offers structured programs for beginners through advanced competitors.
Mounted Archery pairs excellent riding with archery fundamentals. Safety comes first—students use foam and blunt-tip arrows while riding, shooting at gong targets. The curriculum takes riders from zero experience to galloping and shooting under expert guidance.
Equestrian School welcomes newcomers and experienced riders. Weekly classes cover horsemanship, equine first aid, nutrition, and basic training. Students ride school masters while pursuing mounted archery, dressage, or jumping. Options include trail riding and competition entry.
Archery Only for those interested in the bow without the horse. Certified instructors teach beginner through advanced levels in both modern and traditional styles.
Mastery Path is an advanced program by invitation or application, taught by world-class instructor Carey Elmring Norland, winner of the 2025 World Yabusame Championships.
Carey Elmring Norland is a world-class mounted archer and Yabusame instructor competing nationally and internationally. He's been endorsed as only the second Yabusame instructor ever certified outside Japan.
Koby Dundon trained under Norland for three years and placed second in the 2025 regional championships. Claire McCaffery completed International Guild of Mounted Archers teacher training in 2025 and specializes in building student confidence.
