American Defense Enterprises has trained actors like Holt McCallany (Netflix's "Mindhunter") and Queen Latifah ("The Equalizer"), provided motion capture for James Bond and Call of Duty video game franchises, and served as technical advisor on action films. But they're equally focused on training civilians, Secret Service, CIA, Special Forces (5th and 7th), Green Berets, Delta Force, and security teams for international diplomats, universities, casinos, and synagogues.

Burro Canyon Shooting Park in Azusa, California (22100 E Fork Rd, Azusa, CA 91702) — about 45 minutes northeast of downtown Los Angeles. This is an outdoor range in the Angeles National Forest with:
- •No cramped shooting bays — shooters are spaced safely apart
- •Police/military shoothouse for live-fire house-clearing operations
- •Urban combat training areas
- •Ability to move-and-shoot (essential for real-world home defense scenarios)

All ADE firearms instructors are NRA-certified with impressive credentials and exceptional firearms skills. Several instructors have police and military backgrounds. High instructor-to-student ratios mean you get semi-private lesson treatment even in group classes.

Equipment Provided: Don't own a firearm? All weapons (handguns, rifles, shotguns) are provided at a nominal charge. State-of-the-art firearms for every course.
ADE operates two specialized shooting clubs:
- •Girls Gun Club — Launched 2014 to provide a relaxed, female-friendly firearms training environment. Membership exceeded 1,000 within months.
- •Clergy Gun Club — Launched 2019 to help clergy safely practice shooting and protect themselves and congregants against attacks on religious institutions.
The environment is friendly, positive, and supportive. You won't be pushed beyond your abilities or pressured. Instructors will:

- •Discuss self-defense tactics
- •Answer all gun-related questions
- •Teach safe firearms skills
- •Coach you to increase rate of fire while maintaining accuracy
- •Help you become the best shooter you can be
The Combat Handgun I Course is the standard beginner entry point — it covers the same fundamentals taught to police and military, but at a comfortable pace with hands-on coaching the entire time.
