Own Bullets & Bagels Club?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
Bullets & Bagels started with a simple goal: create a judgment-free space where people can learn firearms safely and shoot with others who actually want to be there. No politics. No judgment. Just shooting.
Registered as a 501(c)(7) nonprofit, the club has grown to serve shooters across four Southern California counties—Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and San Diego—plus a new North Carolina chapter.
Monthly shooting events happen Sundays from 7:00-10:30 AM at multiple venues:
| Venue | Location | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| FT3 Tactical (home base) | Stanton | Monthly |
| LAX Firing Range | Inglewood | Monthly |
| Prado Family Shooting Range | Corona | Classes |
| Burro Canyon Shooting Park | San Bernardino | Classes |
| Evan's Gun World | Orange | Classes |
| Oak Tree Gun Club | San Fernando Valley | Events |
| The Range LA | Los Angeles | Events |
Every event includes: - Continental breakfast with bagels, schmears, and coffee - Guest speakers covering shooting gear, firearms law, and shooting sports - Exclusive indoor bay access (no public shooters mixing in) - NRA-certified instructors available for on-demand help - Eye and ear protection provided - Paper targets provided - Free rental firearms (ammo required at range) - Networking time with experienced shooters
Early start times (7-7:30 AM) mean you're done by 10:30 AM—the club reserves exclusive range access before public hours.
"A shooting event is different from a formal class. Events are social with breakfast and speakers. Classes are strict training, no distractions, 5+ hours minimum."
What's included: - Event and class registration - NRA liability insurance coverage - Access to NRA-certified instructors - Permission to shoot historical/curio firearms - Beverages and snacks at events - Ability to shoot under club supervision
Membership facts: - Monthly recurring, non-refundable - Cancel anytime after first month - Self-cancel online or email the club - Minimum age: 13 (must have parent attend, parent must also be member—no family plans available)
30% women members with women instructors on staff. 30-40% non-Jewish members. Club includes people of all faiths—Jewish, Catholic, Orthodox Christian, Muslim. The club deliberately avoids political discussion (except 2nd Amendment topics) because members span from progressive to conservative.
"We are 'apolitical' and ask members to refrain from political discussion. We respect all perspectives—we just expect support for the 2nd Amendment, American exceptionalism, and pro-Israel policy."
You don't need experience. Events offer a "taste of shooting" with safety briefing, guidance, and supervision. But the club recommends taking a Basic Class first if you've never shot—events aren't a substitute for actual training due to time constraints.
After orientation and safety brief, instructors let you shoot under direct supervision. The entire focus is reducing intimidation and providing immediate assistance.
Covered by Lloyds of London liability insurance. All instructors are NRA-certified, with most also Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO) certified.
Breakfast is typically kosher-style (not Glatt Kosher), but kosher accommodations made for observant members who request it. Contact the club in advance if you have dietary needs.
