Full description and what we offer
Golden State Shooting Center sits on 5393 Waltz Road in Rio Oso, serving the greater Sacramento and Yuba-Sutter communities as a family-owned clay target shooting facility. The range features:
All ranges are meticulously maintained with fixed shooting stations designed for safety and consistency.
Unlike corporate-run ranges, this is family-owned. That translates to personal attention—from ground cleanliness to staff friendliness. The facility is built from the ground up with voice-activated clay releases and thoughtfully designed courses. Shooters consistently mention the "laid-back vibes" and the mix of locals and experienced shooters.
"Beautiful shooting facility. They've got it all 3 skeet fields a ton of trap fields and sporting clays outback. Laid back vibes, lots of locals and old timers just hanging out." — Taylor P.
This is the practice facility for 13 local high school trap teams, plus their own CYSSA and SCTP youth teams (Team Coon Creek). They run dedicated youth programs for ages 9-18, making it a competitive hub in Northern California.
They also host corporate team-building events, charity fundraisers, and seasonal leagues.
Club memberships offer significant savings on targets, access to member-only events, and exclusive perks. RV camping with water and electrical hookups is available on-site for tournament participants.
Ammo sales available on-site. Breakfast and lunch service during tournaments.
