Team Whiskey started in 2019 as a family operation built around supporting a family member facing stage 3 metastatic cancer. What began as branded shirts for friends and family support evolved into something bigger—a company committed to bringing outdoor enthusiasts together. Their first bourbon batch bottled in February 2023 is getting strong reviews.
Team Whiskey hosts seasonal 3D archery shoots at three Sierra Nevada locations:
- •Bear Valley – May 31 & June 1, 2025
- •Heavenly – June 21-22, 2025
- •China Peak – July 19-20, 2025
Each event runs over a weekend with multiple courses taking archers uphill via ski lift, then down through realistic hunting scenarios with life-sized 3D targets.
- •Whiskey Course – The notorious challenge. Longest shots, biggest elevation changes, maximum difficulty.
- •Team Course – Still demanding but more manageable. Mid-range shots across varied terrain.
- •Bear Archery Course – Designed for beginners and families. Shorter distances, simpler shooting positions.

Hat and shirt combo available for $50.
- •One arrow per target
- •Field points only (no broadheads)
- •Crossbows allowed, but crossbow shots on prize targets don't score
- •Stay on marked course at all times
- •Groups capped at 6 shooters
- •Rangefinders permitted
- •Open-toe shoes not allowed
- •Kids must independently load/unload the ski lift
- •What to bring: Lots of water, snacks/lunch, sunscreen, sturdy closed-toe hiking boots. Food and beverages only available at mountain base.
