Los Angeles Police Revolver & Athletic Club

The Los Angeles Police Revolver & Athletic Club (LAPRAAC) is a private club at the Los Angeles Police Academy in the Elysian Park area of Los Angeles, established more than 85 years ago by LAPD officers as a training facility.

The grounds now known as the Police Academy hosted the 1932 Olympic pistol shooting competition. LAPRAAC's historical Rock Garden and stonewalls along the driveway, towers, and courtyards were built by a labor force of LAPD officers and trustees, and the Academy grounds have also served as a filming location for television and movie productions.

LAPRAAC supports rifle and pistol marksmanship alongside athletic, educational, and physical fitness activities for LAPD members. On-site amenities include retail stores offering firearms, ammunition, and magazines, an on-site cafe, and banquet facilities for special occasions.
