The Metcalf Coyotes Wednesday Night Trap League runs a dedicated trap shooting program at Santa Clara County Field Sports Park. Every Wednesday night, shooters compete in a handicap format that gives everyone a real chance to compete—whether you're picking up a shotgun for the first time or you've been shooting trap for decades.
- •50 total rounds per session
- •One round at the 16-yard line (singles)
- •One round at the 20-yard line (handicap)
- •League shooting starts at 5:00 PM sharp

The league operates on straightforward rules:
- •All rounds must be paid for before shooting
- •You shoot on your assigned field each week
- •Reserves available on Wednesday nights only (max 3 per 10-week season)
- •Practice rounds allowed before league starts, but not at your assigned field
- •No pre-shoots—the score you shoot is the score that counts
If you show up and don't shoot, your score counts as your average minus 2. Plan ahead if you need to miss.
Members shoot as teams competing across multiple classes (AA, A, B, C, D). The league recognizes individual achievements too: most straights, most improved, and category winners. Banquet dinner caps off each 10-week season.
