Pricing - Capital Edge Paintball Park

Capital Edge Paintball operates as a field-paint-only paintball park on Florin Road in Sacramento, open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3pm, rain or shine. Weekdays are available for group reservations only.

Capital Edge separates players by skill level. Rental players get grouped together, while self-equipped players split into intermediate and advanced brackets. This means you're not getting walked all over by veteran speedballers on your first game.

Every session starts with a safety briefing from refs/staff covering how to use equipment and game rules. All players wear approved safety goggles plus barrel covers (old-school plugs aren't allowed). Markers chrono before play and multiple times throughout the day—velocity caps at 285 FPS. Semi-auto and pump guns only; no ramping or rebound.

Field Paint Only Rule: All players—rentals and self-equipped—must buy paintballs from Capital Edge the same day. Outside paint is not allowed.

• •Paint: $22+ for 500 balls, $64+ for 2000-ball case
• •Compressed Air: Unlimited refills available (3000psi and 4500psi)
• •Note: Capital Edge no longer sells CO2. They rent compressed air tanks; your marker needs to be compatible with compressed air, not CO2.

Weekend party packages available during regular hours (not private group play):

• •Up to 6 players: $100 reservation fee, 2000 paintballs, rental gear, new masks to keep, all-day air
• •Up to 8 players (Best Value): $100 reservation fee, 3000 paintballs, rental gear, new masks to keep, all-day air

For groups larger than 8, call for custom pricing. Groups of 5+ should reserve at least one week ahead.

Capital Edge requires long pants and strongly recommends long sleeves for adults; minors must wear both. Closed-toe shoes with lacing are mandatory (no sandals, Vans, or Converse). Most players show up in light layers—hiking boots or high-top sneakers work well. Bring gloves if you have them; cheap cotton gardening gloves work too.

Minimum age is 10 years (except SplatMaster, which is 8-12). Anyone under 18 needs a parent/guardian-signed waiver. Minors need a new signed waiver each visit.

On pain: Getting hit with a paintball feels like a large rubber band snap. Most players don't even notice because adrenaline's pumping. Paintballs won't cause serious injury when field rules are followed.

Paintball delivers an adrenaline rush without serious injury risk (unlike skydiving, motocross, or rock climbing). It requires no special training, has no gender/strength/age barriers, and teaches teamwork and problem-solving. Capital Edge runs a PLAY SAFE certified operation following industry safety standards.
