Alta Mesa Gun Club operates as a non-profit family organization focused on shotgun sports, primarily trap shooting. Regular public shoots run Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 5:00pm–9:00pm (Friday starts at 3:00pm). Sign-in may close at 8:00pm at the Range Officer's discretion.
Open to the public—no membership required to shoot. Just pay per round and go.

Credit card payments available online for shoot cards, dinner tickets, and membership dues.
The club maintains two trap fields and one 5-stand field. Members get full facility access. The on-site clubhouse includes: - Full kitchen - Meeting and dining room (capacity: 138 people) - Available for private reservations
Regular shoots are open to the public. Occasionally we host special holiday shoots, fundraiser events, and the PITA Multiplex monthly shoot.
Annual fundraising dinners include: - Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner (Saturday of or before St. Patrick's Day) - Tri-tip Dinner (fall)
General membership meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at the clubhouse.
Club dues are $50 per year. Requirements: - Must be 18 or older - Active National Rifle Association (NRA) membership required - Need a club sponsor
New shooters can attend a regular shoot or monthly meeting to learn more. Club members and Range Officers are on hand to help beginners.
Alta Mesa hosts California Department of Fish and Wildlife hunter education classes and 4-hour online follow-up sessions. Contact [email protected] for questions about completed courses.
