Full description and what we offer
West Valley Bowhunters started in 1984 and has grown to roughly 140 active members. The club focuses on family-oriented archery with a hunting emphasis—meaning targets are placed to simulate real hunting situations rather than just lined up for casual shooting.
The facility includes: - 42 targets across Hunter Round, Field Round, and Animal Round courses - Sight-in station at 10-100 yards with 5-yard increments - 2 warm-up areas with bow racks and benches at every target - Picnic area with BBQ, restrooms
Yardage is marked for cubs and youth, making it accessible for younger archers learning the sport.
The club hosts: - Monthly Sunday shoots - Outdoor summer league - Indoor winter league - Awards banquet and shoot - Masterson Camp/Shoot weekend - Special events like the New Year Chili Cook Off and Spring Shoot
Many events are open to non-members—check their calendar to shoot even if you're not ready to join.
Beyond the range, West Valley runs a booth at the Glenn County Fair offering free archery lessons to the public. They also partner with local 4-H archery clubs, letting young shooters use their range and equipment.
