The California Skeet Shooting Association coordinates competitive shooting events across California's member ranges. They're the official sanctioning body for registered skeet and trap competitions, hosting everything from fun shoots to the annual state championship.
CSSA runs events year-round at multiple venues:
- •President's Open (Stockton) - 12 and 20 gauge, 200 birds
- •Andy Laird Open (Stockton) - 20 gauge and .410, 200 birds
- •John Teresi 12 Ga Challenge (Stockton) - 200 birds, 12 gauge focus
- •Grant Hammond Skeet Shoot (Concord) - 500 bird, 5-gun event
- •April Fools Open (Concord) - 500 bird, multi-gun format
- •Sansei Fun Shoots (LA Clays) - Monthly 75-target events, registered or unregistered
CSSA events take place at 18 California ranges with varied field configurations:

CSSA maintains Hall of Fame records dating back to 1995 and publishes detailed results for all registered shoots including HOA (High Over All) winners, class winners, and individual gauge scores.
Shooters can register through the Shattered Clays Foundation, which manages monthly target registration.
