Police Science Institute is the Valley's leading independent firearms training school, serving the community since 1991. Originally founded to blend professionalism and science in law enforcement and security training, the institute has evolved into a comprehensive firearms education and range facility open to the general public.
The institute offers a diverse range of certification and training courses:
- •Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW): First-time permit classes, renewal training, and Utah non-resident permits
- •Handgun Training: Basic handgun courses and women-specific handgun and self-defense classes
- •Professional Certifications: Security guard certification, 4-week security academy, CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- •Specialized Courses: Carbine and defensive shotgun training, less lethal self-defense, and dry-fire instruction
- •Shooting League: Competitive opportunities for members
The in-house Range Pistol Club provides Central California's premier indoor firearm range experience. The facility features one of the region's largest selections of firearms and accessories in its full-service showroom, where members and visitors can purchase handguns, ammunition, and tactical equipment.
Police Science Institute welcomes the general public for training and range use. The facility combines classroom instruction with practical field experience, ensuring students develop both theoretical knowledge and professional shooting skills.
