Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America (COFA)

COFA (Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that hosts outdoor education events for families and kids in Colorado Springs. Their flagship offering is the Kids' Archery Clinic and Gun Safety & BB Gun Target Shoot—a free, full-day program that includes equipment, instruction, and lunch.

• •Proper stance and form
• •Bow handling and arrow placement
• •Safety fundamentals and archery history
• •Beginner and experienced instruction
• •Equipment provided (bows for ages 5+)

• •Gun Safety & BB Gun Target Shoot teaches:
• •NRA Eddie Eagle Gun Safety fundamentals
• •Four core rules: treat every gun as loaded, point safely, keep finger off trigger, know your target
• •Hands-on BB gun target practice with parental supervision
• •Age-appropriate safety decision-making

Programs run for children ages 5-17. COFA recommends starting archery at age 8 when kids typically have the strength to handle beginner bows safely, but younger children (5-7) can participate with provided equipment.

"This is a great event for kids and the whole family! And it's FREE, with lunch provided! We want kids to experience some outdoor fun activities without their electronics."
