Southern Colorado offers elk hunters some of the best trophy elk hunting in the entire state. Elk numbers are at all-time highs in these units, hunting pressure is extremely low (majority is private property), and Colorado's successful elk herd management has created older age bulls, better bull-to-cow ratios, and consistent trophy harvests.
Compare this to private outfitters elsewhere charging over $6,000 per hunter. Colorado Twin Peaks delivers trophy-quality hunts at significantly lower rates.
Their ranches consistently produce: - Bull elk: 300-350 class animals regularly taken - Mule deer: 150-180 class bucks, improving each year - Merriam turkeys: 100% success rate on 3-day spring hunts - Antelope: Trophy bucks taken on both archery and rifle hunts
Historical highlights include hunters spotting herds of 600+ elk, taking Pope and Young antelope, and first-time hunters from across the country successfully filling tags.
